"Went to a concert in the theatre. Not been before, was well set out and viewing was good from anywhere in the auditorium. Nice bar area. Disabled access. Friendly staff front of house and on the bar. Parking not far away. Good venue"
Nicola Tulloch
"I went to watch a play, 'The Bench', a good script, performed very well by the cast, the Town Hall was impressive, there is a nice café on the ground floor, there is a bar on the first floor, it wasn't open for the matinee performance, there is a touching memorial to the Durham Light Infantry in the foyer, a small collection of Tom Guinness artwork and a mural by Norman Cornish (pitmen painter). A large car park is a 5 minute walk, free after 6pm. It was my first visit to Bishop Auckland, I look forward to the next time."
