The garden centre is also a highlight, offering a good selection of plants and gifts. "Really nice place and the cafe didn’t disappoint 🤤 I had a really nice sausage sandwich, pot of tea and a big slice of biscoff cake 🍰. The staff are welcoming and very helpful. Definitely popping in again."

"Now, booking is essential for the café here, if it's raining. We only got inside due to the generosity of a couple who were sat on a table for six. Said couple had been coming for 30 years and "had never had a duff lunch", and indeed their cranberry and camembert sandwiches, nicely cut into quarters and stacked horizontally on the plate looked delicious. However, we were there for main meal, so a great platter of smoked ham, two eggs and chips was both on the cards and the table. Ham was very nice, and as a result we were too full for pudding. However, the scones can be bought and taken away. As a parenthesis, the plain ones were served warm with whortleberry jam for tea last night, and the fruit ones likewise warmed and served with Damson jam at lunch today. Both were delicious; but the standout was the leek bacon and cheese offering which I had after: just wonderful.
Plants looked good, craft folk in the garden room were interesting. Shop also full of good things.
If it had been sunny we might have eaten outside and stayed a bit longer: much to explore, but the rain precluded many plans.
Car park not massive, so a good idea to not arrive at midday when it's busy, and also reserve a table if it's looking like rain. If it's sunny, plenty of seating outside!"

"Very nice little cafe tucked away inside the garden centre where we stopped for lunch.
Friendly staff and good food at reasonable price, cost us circa £25 for two bowls of soup with a scone and a drink each.
Good selection of presents within the shop that are perfect for a birthday or Christmas."
