What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors have mixed experiences in Longton Town Centre, with some pleasantly surprised by the variety of shops and the cleanliness, while others are disheartened by the number of boarded-up premises. The community spirit and upcoming events are often highlighted as positives, alongside the potential for bargain hunting in charity shops.
"I didn't know what to expect, having never been there before. But was pleasantly surprised. There are plenty of shops. For the bargain hunter among us, there are also a number of charity shops, there was a type of market there too. Surprisingly clean & tidy. The variety of shops is good, there's a post office, poundland, select, cash converters, to name but a few. Ideal for the quick shopper, or someone who wants to dawdle a while."

"Pleasant small shopping centre, called into Kiln coffee shop, and pottery painting centre, just had a coffee, as was working my way back to the station, at a leisurely pace.... Really nice little shopping centre..... Friendly people here in Longton...😊😊👍👍"

"Thought being as i was in the area , and had not visited for about 25 years i would have a walk around.
What a shock , walked quite a way until i found a shop that wasn't boarded up.
Looked like it was in a war zone..
Absolutely disgraceful.
The council should be prosecuted for allowing that to happen to a once thriving town."
