"We visited on a warm sunny Monday, during term time. No problem finding a space for our van, paid £3 (accepts cards and cash) for a whole day. There are some dedicated EV bays and a short section of free to park bays at the clock tower end. A great spot for people-watching. View over the sea. Easy walk into town for shops, pubs, and fish 'n chips. Short walk down to the harbour and beach (steps)."

"Totally inadequate signage in this now charging car park. When a car park is free for ages, then suddenly charges for parking, it's initial aim is to catch as many people unawares as possible. Inadequate signage, even if the bare legal minimum, is one way. Took pictures of huge areas unsigned (where I happened to park) but they rejected my appeal and can't afford or risk going to court. Thieves.
I'm not from Seaham but used to call in to have coffee or lunc with family or friends. Never again, which is a shame for the local businesses. They must be suffering as this once busy car park is now virtually empty."
