Reviews Summary

Visitors consistently praise the New Jersey Korean War Memorial as a deeply moving and poignant tribute. The powerful bronze statues, especially the 'Mourning Soldier,' and the inscribed names on the granite walls evoke strong emotions of respect and gratitude. Its accessible location on the Atlantic City Boardwalk and free entry make it a highly recommended stop for reflection and remembrance.

"I loved visiting the New Jersey Korean War Memorial. It’s a deeply moving tribute, featuring stories of Congressional Medal of Honor recipients from New Jersey. These personal accounts of bravery and sacrifice are truly inspiring, reminding us of the courage displayed during the Korean War. The memorial itself is beautifully designed, with thoughtful details that honor the memory of the fallen and those who served. It’s a meaningful place for reflection and gratitude, and I highly recommend taking the time to visit. If you’re ever in the area, it’s well worth experiencing this important piece of history."

"Public memorial to those who served and died during the Korean War with statue, relief, and polished black granite reflective name wall reminiscent of the DC Vietnam War Memorial.

The most outstanding piece were the absolutely incredible stories of the Medal of Honor recipients- most of whom were posthumously awarded. “After receiving near fatal wounds, he grabbed the two grenades thrown into their trench, charged the two enemy soldiers and tackled them, killing the enemy and saving the lives of his fellow soldiers.” Jaw-droppingly heroic."

"This memorial in Atlantic City is breathtaking. It was a rainy evening when i visited. Appropriate. I spent time in Korea while a soldier, and the place left an indelible mark on my person. The rain in monsoon season, of course, but the people won my heart. The places, the food, the music. All of it. I adore Korea. My time there was not without its challenges, of course, as the northern government can make things interesting, but nothing ever diminshed the bond that I have with my Korean friends. The war hasn't ever ended there. An armistice, or cease fire, is in place. So, as are the memories and deep pain of those Americans that fought there alongside their ROK brothers in that war that started so many years ago, the conflict is still very real today. And for the people of Korea. "같이 갑시다""
