"We rented Malbis for a wedding and the venue was absolutely beautiful! It made for the most gorgeous pictures. We would absolutely use them again if we had it to do over. However, here are a few drawbacks to consider. 1. There was poison oak on the ground under the arbors. 2. The upstairs plumbing was not working properly and was unusable after about 3 uses. This was not good for keeping a bride and groom sepwrate from each other or from guests. Luckily, the downstairs worked fine. When I mentioned it to the cleaning lady the next morning, it was apparently a past issue that they new about but didn't mention. 3. There is only one person to talk with when booking or having issues. Therefore, it may take over a week to get responses to any sort of inquiry. 4. Furniture was a little ragged, such as one couch looked very dingy and a wicker chair had a hole where a foot had gone through it (not sure why it was not removed). However, one couch looked to fit the historic feel and added to picture ambiance. 5. Take pictures or a video upon arrival of a walkthrough. We had to clean up mini liquor bottles and bottles of bubbles from the last party. There was also furniture we were accused of moving that we never touched. A video or picturea would have shown these things and helped to show us where to place things afterwards."
