"Took my son here in a self guided tour. They do offer tour guides. Or you can get a pair of headphones and listen to commentary. It was a beautiful tribute made of butterflies for the 1.5 million children lost to Nazi genocide. Worth checking out with mature children. My son is a history enthusiast and has a special interest in military and war stories. He found this very interesting and informative. Warning, there are some images and videos for mature audience. He is mature enough to understand the seriousness of the war."

"What is learned here, they don't teach in schools. There have been so many wonderful improvements since I was here over 10 years ago. My daughter learned about parts of our family that she would have never experienced if it weren't for this place. Be prepared to cry at least 5 times while you're here. It just comes with the territory."

Its permanent exhibition provides a comprehensive overview, utilizing a range of media to tell the stories of victims, survivors, and perpetrators. Visitors can expect to encounter artifacts, photographs, personal testimonies, and film footage that bring this critical period of history to life. Reddit

One particularly impactful element is the butterfly tribute, a memorial dedicated to the 1.5 million children who perished during the Holocaust. This visual representation serves as a stark reminder of the immense loss and the importance of remembering. The museum also features rotating special exhibits, such as 'Unveiled: From the Vault,' which delves into specific aspects of Holocaust history through curated artifacts. TikTokReddit

It's important to note that the museum's content can be intense and emotionally challenging. While efforts have been made to make history accessible, some visitors feel that certain graphic elements have been removed, potentially sanitizing the historical reality.
