Drive up scenic views we can park and have a truck bed picnic at?
I’m northwest NJ (hunterdon cnty) originally the idea was to drive out onto sandy hook beach because I heard you can in the offseason but research says only beach for that is island beach state park with a permit. So I’m open to other spots if anyone has any suggestions! Thanks

Taking my elderly father to see the NYC skyline for the very first time. We won’t be able to get out of the car or do any hiking. Which overlook has the best view from a car?

What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise the Weehawken Dueling Grounds for its absolutely stunning, panoramic views of the New York City skyline, especially at sunset. While the historical significance is noted, many find the site itself to be a simple memorial with limited exhibits. The chaotic traffic in the surrounding area is a common drawback, and some find the walk from Hoboken quite strenuous.
"A beautiful historic place. Dynamic view of the Hudson River and NY.
The traffic in the surrounding area was less desired and chaotic, otherwise the views of the skyline was worth it."
Catherine Greco
"A truly historic place. I guess I was hoping for a bit more of an exhibit but it was worthwhile. We walked app from the Hoboken Pier and it is one hell of a walk uphill. Great views of the Manhattan skyline."
David Nash
"Beautiful view across the river of NYC. Historic spot but nothing here but a memorial. You're unable to see the actual sight below as the railroad destroyed the grounds for tracks in the 1800's. The view of NYC is amazing!"
