Ali Alipour

Ali Alipour spent six formative years at Persepolis, establishing himself as one of Iran's more reliable strikers domestically before making the move to Portuguese football with Marítimo and then Gil Vicente. His time in the Primeira Liga gave him European experience that few Iran-based forwards possess, and his physical presence and hold-up play make him a useful target option for the national team. Now back at Persepolis, he brings a blend of domestic familiarity and European exposure. He has never been a prolific scorer at the highest level, but his link-up play and work rate give him a defined role.
