David Raum

David Raum is Germany's first-choice left-back — an attack-minded full-back whose overlapping runs, crossing ability, and high defensive line make him ideally suited to Julian Nagelsmann's possession-based, wing-dominant system. He announced himself at Hoffenheim before RB Leipzig signed him in 2022, and his output of assists and progressive carries has remained high in the Bundesliga. For Germany, his willingness to push forward and combine with midfielders gives the left side genuine width and penetration. His defensive discipline has improved but remains the area opponents look to exploit when he commits forward.
