Dzenis Burnic

Dzenis Burnic is a German-born midfielder of Bosnian heritage who came through Borussia Dortmund's academy — a pedigree that speaks to his technical quality — but never broke into the Bundesliga first team. Spells at Dynamo Dresden and Heidenheim followed before he settled at Karlsruher SC in the second tier, where he has become a creative, technically refined presence in midfield. Representing Germany at youth level, he has since committed to Bosnia and Herzegovina internationally. At Karlsruher, his ability to carry the ball and pick passes in tight spaces makes him one of the more technically polished players in Bosnia's squad.
