Folarin Balogun chose to represent the United States over England — where he was born and raised — and France, where he became one of Ligue 1's most prolific strikers during a breakout loan season at Reims. A centre-forward with sharp movement, good finishing technique, and the ability to hold up play, he developed further at Monaco after Arsenal decided not to build around him. His international switch gave the USMNT a penalty-box presence they had long lacked, and his pace in behind makes him a genuine threat against high defensive lines. Still only 24, he is approaching his peak.
