Israel Reyes

Israel Reyes is a composed, ball-playing centre back who has established himself at Club América after earlier spells at Puebla and Atlas. At 26, he is physically imposing and reads the game well, qualities that have made him a regular in América's backline during their Liga MX title-winning cycles. His ability to carry the ball out from defence fits the modern demands placed on central defenders. Still building his international profile, Reyes represents the next generation of Mexican centre backs and is pushing for a more prominent role under Javier Aguirre ahead of the 2026 tournament.
