Liberato Cacace

Liberato Cacace is New Zealand's most technically polished left-back, having spent three seasons in Serie A with Empoli — a club known for developing technically refined players — before joining Wrexham in 2025. Comfortable in possession and capable of contributing in the final third, Cacace brings a level of top-flight European experience to the All Whites that is rare in their squad. Still only 25, he is arguably New Zealand's most important defensive player and one whose development trajectory suggests he could yet reach an even higher level of European football.
