Sergiño Dest

Sergiño Dest is the most technically gifted fullback in the USMNT pool — a product of Ajax's academy whose ability to combine defensively and drive forward at pace earned him a move to Barcelona, where he played under Ronald Koeman and Xavi. His time at Camp Nou was inconsistent but illuminating: he could unlock defences with his dribbling and crossing but struggled for defensive reliability at the highest level. At PSV he has found more consistent form. For the USA, his attacking quality on the right flank remains one of Pochettino's most potent weapons when Dest is at his best.
