Tomáš Holeš

Tomáš Holeš is one of the most versatile and underappreciated players in the Czech squad, capable of operating as a central defender, defensive midfielder, or right-back — a flexibility that has made him invaluable to Slavia Prague since 2019. He came to Slavia relatively late after years at Jablonec and Hradec Králové, but has since become a cornerstone of their defence and a regular international. His reading of the game and positional intelligence compensate for the fact that he was never the most physically imposing defender, and his experience in Czech and European competition makes him a steady, dependable presence in the squad.
