SoFi Stadium
About
SoFi Stadium is a gleaming, 70,000-seat architectural marvel in Inglewood with a translucent roof canopy and a massive dual-sided video board. Atmosphere is electric and modern, blending NFL grandeur with Hollywood glamour — expect loud, passionate crowds and premium fan zones throughout the Hollywood Park campus.
History
Opened in September 2020, SoFi Stadium is home to the LA Rams and LA Chargers. It hosted Super Bowl LVI in 2022 and the College Football Playoff National Championship in 2023. It will also serve as a 2028 Summer Olympics venue, cementing its status as America's premier stadium.
Getting there
Take I-405 or I-105 to Prairie Avenue exits. On-site Hollywood Park parking is pre-purchased and expensive; lots fill fast. Nearby street parking in Inglewood neighbourhoods is limited. Arrive 90+ minutes early to avoid gridlock on Century Boulevard and surrounding roads.
Uber and Lyft designated drop-off and pick-up is at the Hollywood Park rideshare lot off Prairie Avenue. Expect significant surge pricing post-match — fares can triple. Pre-scheduling or walking to Crenshaw/LAX Line stations dramatically reduces wait times and cost.
Take the Metro C (Green) Line to Hawthorne/Lennox Station, then transfer to the Metro K (Crenshaw) Line southbound to Inglewood Station or Downtown Inglewood Station — roughly a 10–15 minute walk to the stadium gates. Total journey from Downtown LA is approximately 45–55 minutes.
Where to stay
Most fans stay in Downtown Los Angeles, Santa Monica, or Manhattan Beach — all within 20–35 minutes. Santa Monica offers a beach-town vibe; Manhattan Beach is upscale and relaxed. Downtown LA has the widest hotel range and buzzing pre-match bar scenes near LA Live.
