"Ancient temple built by Hoysalas and extended by Vijayanagara rulers. It has over 35 shiva lingas. Completely satisfied with the visit"

"This holy temple is in the banks of river cauvery at Ramanathapura a small town near hole narasipur. This temple is dedicated to Eashwar consecrated by Rama hence the name Rameshwara temple . The typical hoysala style architecture and unique one i feel is the small similar close vertical designs in the entire pathway around the temple. There are steps to go down from the temple to cauvery river to have a bath. In spite of me visiting this temple on a jathra day the rush is manageable and not much wait for the darshan of the deity. The temple comes under ASI and being on the river bank below the highway bridge the approach road is very narrow. Still you can comfortably drive a sedan car. Temple premises is well maintained clean and neat in spite of jathra being held. The eashwara gives positive vibes and divine feelings at the sanctum sanctorum. being on the highway, you can always visit this historical temple. The sunset from the river side is worth seeing once."
