"Great spot in a stunning area. I chose Taiping for a short working holiday and was looking for a more interesting place to stay than the usual hotels and came across the Club. I stayed here for 3 nights. The room was comfortable and spacious, overlooking a cute little courtyard. Prime location right at the edge of the lake gardens, perfect for a short getaway from the big city. Has a nice terrace on the main building that looks right out into the lake garden. Perfect way to work while relaxing, and easy access for walks in the afternoons. Also lots of heritage buildings to see within walking distance. Mr Barry and Mr Shah were very friendly and welcoming and made me feel right at home! Even the club members are pretty friendly and chit chatted with me. Can't recommend this enough if you're looking for a different sort of lodging experience."
