What Travellers Say
Reviews Summary
Visitors consistently praise Pyramid Point for its absolutely stunning, panoramic views of Lake Michigan and the Manitou Islands. The accessible trail to the overlook is a major plus, though some note the climb can be challenging. The opportunity to see eagles and explore historical farmsteads adds to the memorable experience.
"A very short trail (can be longer if you do the loop) that leads to a stunning overlook of Lake Michigan! Half of the trail is unshaded and open, but the other half is in the woods and lovely. We saw 2 eagles while being at the overlook which was really cool. You can walk down the sand cliff to the water but know that it’s a pretty steep climb back up, and if for whatever reason you can get back up, there’s a very expensive fee to be airlifted out. It’s not impossible to do but just be mindful:) definitely worth the stop"

"Awesome walk to the point of 1.2 miles (skipped the loop). For those not in decent shape, the climb does have some elevation but not bad. And once you cross the short meadow and start the climb, under a nice canopy of trees. The views, like so many in this park, are amazing."

"Beautiful lil’ trail - super easy to get to the overlook IF YOU CAN WALK! It’s basically incline all the way up.
Once you get there it’s great and nice for sunsets 🌅
Bring some beers / wine and a bag to carry it all back!"
