"The Minuteman Missile National Historic Site visitor center, located off of highway I-90 near the eastern entrance to the Badlands, is a fascinating and educational museum focused on the Cold War and the Minuteman Missile sites across South Dakota and the Midwest.
Start your visit by watching the film, which explains the relevance of the missile program to the nation's security and the Cold War. The exhibits are highly educational and tastefully done.
If you haven't already done so, be sure to visit Delta-01 and Delta-09, both located west on I-90, heading toward Rapid City.

"Wow, who knew this was out here! Easy to miss this Visitor center museum right off highway I-90 west. So much history here with friendly knowledgeable park rangers ready to answer all your questions. The place looked brand new and was very well maintained! Inside they had a free informative interactive walkthrough display talking about the Cold War and all things missiles. After visiting the museum plan ahead and make an appointment to visit the actual Delta-01 Launch Control Facility just a few miles past the Visitors center. They only do 2 tours a day with a limit of 6 people per tour. So they fill up fast. But anyone can visit the Delta-09Minuteman Missile Silo and see the actual mussels that were housed underground. This site is also a few miles away from the Visitor center museum and an almost always has a park ranger stationed there to answer any questions."

"Fantastic site! It's not too big but it has lots of information on the US nuclear missiles during the Cold War. They also offer a tour of an old missile control room, but you need to book it way in advance. They only take 6 people per your and yours fill up extremely quickly."
