Gabriel Ávalos is a well-travelled Paraguayan striker who has spent his career largely in Argentine football, with spells at Peñarol, Patronato, Argentinos Juniors, and now Independiente. Never a marquee name, he is a physical, hard-working centre-forward whose value lies in his pressing, aerial ability, and willingness to do the unglamorous work that creates space for others.
