Igor Sergeev

Igor Sergeev is a veteran Uzbek forward whose career has been anchored almost entirely at Pakhtakor, where he became one of the club's most prolific strikers over more than a decade. Brief spells at FK Tobol Kostanay and BG Pathum United aside, he has consistently returned to Tashkent, and now at 33 finds himself at Persepolis in Iran's top flight. A physical, penalty-box presence rather than a creative forward, Sergeev's experience and goal-scoring record domestically earned him national team recognition, though he faces stiff competition from younger forwards for a starting role at the World Cup.
