Marquinhos

Marquinhos is Brazil's captain and one of the most decorated defenders of his generation, having spent over a decade as PSG's defensive cornerstone after leaving Corinthians as a teenager. Elegant rather than brutal, he reads the game exceptionally well and is equally comfortable as a holding midfielder — a role PSG have used him in during injury crises. He has won every major domestic honour in France multiple times. For Brazil, he is the unquestioned leader of the backline, the player the squad organises around, and one of the few figures who carries genuine authority in the dressing room.
