Niko Sigur

Niko Sigur is a 22-year-old Croatian defender who has come through the Hajduk Split academy and established himself in their first team, making him one of the more promising young defenders in the HNL. Hajduk's fierce supporter culture and the pressure of playing in Split's Poljud stadium means he has developed in a high-expectation environment from an early age. Still building his profile at senior international level for Croatia, he represents the next wave of defensive talent in a nation with a strong tradition of producing technically assured, tactically intelligent centre-backs. His development over the next two seasons will determine his World Cup role.
