Ørjan Nyland

Ørjan Nyland is Norway's most experienced goalkeeper and a reliable, technically sound shot-stopper who has spent his career at clubs where competition for the starting spot has been fierce. He was understudy at Aston Villa before loan spells at Reading and RB Leipzig, and his move to Sevilla gave him a more stable platform. Now 35, he is the senior figure in Norway's goalkeeping group and brings composure and organisational experience that younger keepers in the squad cannot yet match. His reading of crosses and command of the penalty area have been consistent strengths throughout a career that has taken him across four countries.
