Sander Tangvik

Sander Tangvik is the youngest and least experienced of Norway's three goalkeepers, having come through Rosenborg before earning a move to Hamburg SV in the 2. Bundesliga. At 23 he is very much a development option in the national squad, included by Stale Solbakken with an eye on the future rather than the present. Hamburg's ambitions to return to the Bundesliga have given him exposure to a competitive, high-pressure environment, and his shot-stopping reflexes have drawn attention. Whether he develops into Norway's long-term number one depends on how quickly he can translate domestic promise into consistent performance at a higher level.
